Black Diamond Tattoo is an independent
studio located in the heart of downtown Stony Plain, Alberta. Owned and operated by local tattoo artist Ray Bartley.
Ray has been tattooing for 17 years and specializes in blackwork, black and grey realism, and Neo Japanese. Always trying to push each style in stronger diections.
Established in Jasper Alberta in 2009. Named after the most challenging of ski runs ,and his love of the Rocky Mountains. Ray successfully ran his shop for 6 years before making the tough decision to leave Jasper and move to Edmonton to be closer to his family.
Spending a few years working in a very esteemed tattoo shop in Edmonton Ray decided to branch out again on his own and re-open Black Diamond Tattoo in Stony Plain in 2018.
Taking inspiration from the scenery of Jasper, combining elements of wood and slate within the shop, and a beautiful mountainesque zen garden with a river out back. Ray wanted to build an inviting and creative space for himself and everyone who visits to enjoy.
